Netflix Just Changed the You Season 4 Release Date

Netflix has changed the release date of the fourth season of its hit thriller series YOU. The new season will be released in two parts; YOU Season 4 – Part 1 will premiere on February 9, 2023, while YOU Season 4 – Part 2 will follow on March 9, 2023. Originally, YOU Season 4A was set to premiere on February 10, while Season 4B was set to arrive on March 10. Obviously, that’s not a huge change in release date, but it’s curious to see Netflix push the release dates from two Friday dates to two Thursday dates instead…

A first teaser trailer for YOU Season 4 was released during Netflix’s Tudum presentation earlier this year. (SPOILER) As teased at the end of season three, YOU Season 4 will see stalker/serial killer Joe Goldberg relocate to Europe, after some… After Joe finally gets away with his serial killer wife, Love, fakes his own death and gives away his infant son , losing any further illusions of living the “normal” all-American life. Joe was last seen on the streets of Paris, where he was free to be inspired to “fall in love” all over again, in that creepy way fans love to fear.

YOU Season 4 will bring back Penn Badgley as Joe, who has a new alias (Jonathan Moore) and job (university professor) when Season 4 kicks off in London (sorry, Paris wasn’t permanent…).

Tati Gabrielle also returns, playing Marienne, the librarian and troubled mother Joe fell in love with in season three. , and she barely escaped alive. Will Joe finally catch up with her? Or could Marienne be the girl who finally turns the tables on the deranged stalker?

“I think the thing that would make Joe the most miserable isn’t… If he was tortured and killed by a woman, in his mind he would almost be vindicated,” Badgley told Collider. “It would be like, ‘I am the most persecuted man in all of history and I can be a martyr for love.’ That’s pretty much what he would think in his mind. And Beck says it in season one too – he says all of that,” he observes. “And that’s why people repeatedly don’t call the police on him, as absurd as that is sometimes. But it’s true. And so I think for next season, my conversations with Sera are really, I think, the most exciting so far because I think we’re really going to deal with that. And next season it could be very different. It could really be very different.”

Charlotte Ritchie, Lukas Gage, Tilly Keeper, Amy Leigh Hickman and Ed Speelers have joined the cast of YOU Season 4. Season 4 will premiere on February 9, 2023.
